This is a list of alumni of Georgetown University. Georgetown University is a private research university located in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher education in the United States. The school graduates about two thousand undergraduate and postgraduate students annually. There are nine constitutive schools, five of which offer undergraduate degrees and six of which offer graduate degrees, as two schools offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Just over three percent of Georgetown's 97,384 living alumni are listed in Marquis Who's Who, the 14th highest percentage and eighth highest raw number among American universities as of 2000. NNDB, the Notable Names Database, lists 289 notable alumni.
This list does not contain notable Georgetown faculty members, members of the Board of Directors, or Presidents of Georgetown University unless they were graduates of the university.
